We have several opportunities for volunteers to assist with the following back-to-school related activities!

Help is needed to label student planners on Thursday, Aug. 21 and Friday, Aug. 22 anytime after 9 a.m. If you can pitch in, please contact Karen Arthur via email or by calling 703-924-7514.

Help needed to serve breakfast on Monday, Aug. 25, and donuts and bagels on Tuesday-Wednesday, Aug. 26-27, to returning faculty and staff during their first few days back to school (POC is Dorothy Andrews):

• Aug. 25 from 7:45-9:30 a.m. 
• Aug. 26 from 7-10 a.m.
• Aug. 27 from 7-10 a.m.

Volunteers are needed to help collect forms during two shifts on Locker Night on Aug. 28, from 4:30-6 p.m. and from 5:45-7 p.m. Eighth grade students are also being recruited to help seventh graders learn where their lockers are and how to operate them. (POC is Karen Reed):

Finally, volunteers are needed to man the Visitor's Sign-In table during the first two weeks of the new school year. All you need to do is assist visitors with the computer sign-in process and offer them a map and directions to get around the school; you may work less than a two-hour shift (POC is Karen Reed). From Sept. 2-12, the daily shifts are:

• 7:30-9:30 a.m.
• 9:30-11:30 a.m.
• 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
