Every generation of parents stakes the claim, "Teens today are different than we were." With all of the technology available at teens’ fingertips today, that statement may be truer than ever. To understand how today’s teens communicate and what you can do to communicate effectively with them, join noted parenting blogger, Devra Reener, for a crash course covering the ins and outs of communicating with teens the old fashioned way – by engaging them in conversation. She’ll also show you how they use the latest technology from Facebook, Twitter and texting to connect with the rest of the world, including their savvy parents. The Women's Center is hosting Ms. Reener's program, entitled "Talking to Your Teen," at it's offices in Vienna on Thursday, October 22, from 7-9 p.m. The registration fee is $35 for the public, and $25 for Women's Center Circle Donors. To register: Visit www.thewomenscenter.org or call 703-281-2657. |
