Despite heavy rains earlier in the week, the varsity football game on Friday, October 1 between the Hayfield Hawks and Chantilly Chargers WILL take place as originally scheduled. Please come out and support our Varsity Football team, Varsity Cheerleaders, the Marching Hayfield Hawks, and Hayfield Secondary's Dance Team. Please note that admission for the Oct. 1 football game is FREE to all visitors until full capacity is reached. Free admission to the game is provided by Capital One Bank and Fairfax County Public Schools as part of Capital One Bank’s Game Night initiative. Capital One will also sponsor an interactive tailgate before the game, as well as great music, fun games, and exciting prizes, too. The fun starts at 5 p.m. and the game begins at 7:30 p.m. The football game will end at approximately 9:30 p.m. Please help assure that your student will be picked up immediately following the game. An announcement will be made at the beginning of the fourth quarter to remind students to call for their ride. Twenty minutes after the conclusion of the game all students and fans will need to have cleared school grounds. Parents are reminded that, for the safety of your child, they should be prompt in picking up their children. Middle school students are also encouraged to attend tonight’s game as well as all other events during the school year. Just a reminder that the Northern Region Policy states that all middle school students must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, guardian, or adult during all VHSL activities and school events. See you at the game and as always, remember to wear orange! Any questions should be directed to the Activities Office at 703-924-7472. Go HAWKS! |
