The Rose Hill Players will perform the musical adventure “Hansel and Gretel," a wonderfully entertaining version of the classic tale which is guaranteed to delight young audiences. When Hansel and Gretel are sent into the woods, they encounter some marvelous folk — two arrogant trolls who fiercely guards their little wooden bridge, a talking owl, a forest sprite, and two hobgoblins in the service of the evil (but extremely funny) witch. She locks Hansel in a cage and feeds him nothing but fudge and cake. Come out and cheer Gretel as she outwits the crone and sets free all the lost children who have been turned into cookies! All the moments are here, from the night spent in the woods to the discovery of the candy-coated little cottage. Performances will be held at Hayfield Secondary School on Friday, April 1 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, April 2 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door (children $3; adults $5).
