Welcome back, Hayfield students, parents/guardians, faculty and staff!!! It’s the 2011-2012 school year and my son is a junior – time flies when you’re having fun...or something like that!

“ONE team. ONE goal.” Hayfield Secondary’s leadership team has set this as its theme for this year, the overall goal being to prepare students for success. The PTSA is borrowing part of this theme: ONE. We’d like to challenge every Hayfield parent and guardian to volunteer at least ONE time this year. This can include ANY of a multitude of great (and diverse) opportunities. Here are a few:
  • Collect donations for Basket Bingo
  • Plant fall flowers in the front beds
  • Proctor the SAT practice tests (ANGP fundraiser)
  • Serve refreshments during a PTSA-sponsored event
  • Spend a few hours in the Career Center
  • Help with health screenings in the Clinic
  • Be a Middle School Team Parent.
Check out hssptsa.org for more information, as well as our presence on Facebook and on Twitter, which we regularly update and keep in sync. Remember, the PTSA goal is to encourage you to volunteer at least ONE time this year – easy, right? We know you can do it…maybe even more than just ONE time!

See you ‘round Hawk Country!

Liz Dunn
